September 2024 winner:
James Bohn, Pilot, Spirit Flight East, Chesterfield, Missouri
How long have you been in the aerospace business? I started pilot training in January 1991 and have been a pilot ever since.
How did you become interested in aircraft? My father took me to watch the planes land at [St. Louis] Lambert Int’l Airport and that started my interest in becoming a pilot. Watching those large aircraft flying so effortlessly was amazing.
What is your favorite aircraft and why? The North American F-86 Sabre. Its relatively small size and sleek design has always caught my eye. It’s a simple dogfighter that would be a blast to fly.
Runners-up:
Charlie Pitarys, Technical Expert, Sales Support, KYZEN Corp., Nashville, Tennessee
Janice Hudson-Huff, Administrator, Georgia Northwestern Technical College, Rome, Georgia
