Diatool Top Speed Disc (TSD) features more blades to deliver 30% faster cycle times, making it suited for high volume reaming applications. The multi-blade design features uneven spacing of cutting edges to create exceptionally round and cylindrical bores. It arrives set to size and requires no additional setup, delivering ready-to-cut functionality. The holders are equipped with internal coolant as a standard feature and are available in standard sizes from 16mm to 32mm (0.63" to 1.26"). The solid reamer body is more stable than comparable modular designs with multiple connections, which can produce tolerance stack up. The body is a one-time investment, while the disc can be replaced to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specs up to 5x for overall cost savings and efficiency.

The straight-fluted TSD ensures the optimal bevel lead geometry can be used for performance and chip control throughout its service life. Left-hand fluted design is also available for through-hole applications.

Simultaneous 5-axis machining center

The DVF 5000 Second Generation simultaneous 5-axis vertical machining center (VMC) features a larger table, increased work envelope, and faster speeds.

It machines complex shapes and curved surfaces in a single setup. The cooling system and standard thermal displacement compensation ensure high precision machining, even during prolonged operation. Its bed structure enables precise machining of workpieces weighing up to 400kg (882 lb).

The VMC boasts faster X-, Y-, and Z-axis feed rates, doubling the speed of its predecessor. Additionally, it showcases a 25% increase in B- and C-axis rotation speed, now at 25rpm, alongside a tool-to-tool (TTT) time of 1.3 seconds and a chip-to-chip (CTC) time of 3.8 seconds.

The DVF 5000 Second Generation presents expanded machining capabilities, providing greater flexibility with enlarged workpiece and clamping tool sizes. Featuring a table size of 630mm dia. x 450mm H (24.8" x 17.7") and accommodating a maximum workpiece size of 600mm dia. x 500mm H (23.6" x 19.7").

Additionally, the DVF 5000 Second Generation extends travel distances for the X-, Y-, and Z-axis to 650mm, 520mm, and 480mm (25.6", 20.5", and 18.9") respectively. This expanded space allows integration of automation units for material loading and unloading.

It comes standard with a 20,000rpm spindle. Equipped with a high-rigidity high-speed spindle and a robust columnar structured table, it delivers precise surface finishes and facilitates the machining of high-speed aluminum to difficult-to-machine metals such as titanium, Inconel, and cobalt chromium.

Internal coolant tools

Heimatec now offers high-pressure coolant-thru designs up to 1,000psi on straight tools and 2,000psi on 90° tools. Coolant-thru technology is often the answer for faster, more productive cutting on many applications especially when drilling deep holes where chips and excess heat build up. High pressure internal coolant is also available on universal tools, multiple spindle tools, and speed increasers with up to 1:4 gear ratios at 24,000rpm.
