The CoroCut 2 with -RF geometry is designed for secure and high-precision profiling, combining a sharp edge with a high-precision chip breaker, making it suitable for finishing operations in ISO S materials. To achieve good chip control for small depths of cuts, the chip-breaker geometry must be positioned close to the cutting edge, and the company’s in-house patented technology supports this precise positioning while maintaining a sharp insert edge. The CoroCut 2’s -RF geometry allows for a high level of process security, even with challenging materials, and the new technology enables long tool life and consistent performance.

Insert grade GC1205 for machining aged nickel-based HRSA materials features a hard, fine-grained substrate, PVD coating, and optimized edge-line integrity, providing increased flank wear and notch wear resistance as well as edge-line security and reduced flaking. GC1205 allows users to run inserts at higher cutting speeds for consistent, predictable tool life.

Solid carbide step drill

The 12 x DC version of the X∙treme Evo Plus step drill is available in diameters from 0.118" to 0.787" (3mm to 20mm). Standard dimensions include the 3 x DC version in accordance with the DIN 6537 short standard, 5 x DC version in accordance with the DIN 6537 long standard, and the 8 x DC and 12 x DC version in accordance with the Walter standard. The drills have straight cutting edges for maximum stability and a 140° point angle. The 8 x DC and 12 x DC versions have four margins.

The 3 x DC and 5 x DC drills are available in the WJ30EZ grade with an aluminum titanium nitride (AlTiN) multi-layer coating along the entire length of the drill, while the 8 x DC and 12 x DC drills are available in the WJ30EY grade with AlTiN multi-layer tip coating. Both have Krato-tec multi-layer coating technology featuring a top layer with high aluminum content, a graded transitional layer, and a base layer that provides optimal toughness. The drills can be used with emulsion, oil, or minimum quantity lubrication (MQL).

Tube end finishing rotary tools

A line of tube end finishing rotary tools can deburr, form, or chamfer. They’re designed to finish inside and outside diameter (I.D. and O.D.) tubing ends in a single operation. The tools include tube end forming cutters, which machine the inside and outside diameter radius to create a smooth, rounded end suitable for applications where tubing may be exposed. These high-speed steel and carbide tools are available in sizes for tubing ranging from 1/8" to 2-1/2" O.D., with a range of wall thickness and gauge sizes.

Also included are tube end chamfer mills with shear cutting action for fast cutting, preventing loading of chips. They feature chatterless tooth geometry, which alternates tooth-cutting angles to eliminate resonant vibration from the tool and workpiece for smooth finishes. They’re designed for heavy-duty cutting to machine 45° O.D. and 30° I.D. chamfers for applications requiring easy assembly, and are available in sizes for pipe and tubing ranges from 3/16” to 2-1/2” O.D.

Tube end deburring cutters, available in high-speed steel or carbide construction, provide 30° inside chamfer and 45° outside deburring. They’re designed for light duty and can break sharp edges of the inside and outside diameters simultaneously. Like the chamfer mills, they feature shear cutting action and an adjustable outside ring. They can be reground multiple times and operate in speed ranges of 50rpm to 200rpm. The cutters are available in standard sizes for 1/8" O.D. (1/16" I.D.) through 2-1/4" O.D. (2" I.D.) tubing, and with a variety of shank styles.
