Optical Gaging Products, Inc. (OGP) announces enhanced capabilities for its popular SmartScope Flash 200. This multisensor metrology system can now be outfitted with a touch probe, laser and/or micro-probes for complete part characterization in one setup. Tactile probing measures difficult-to-image features, and a new through-the-lens (TTL) laser adds non-contact surface contouring. Feather Probe and Rainbow Probe offer micro-probing capability for miniature, delicate, and sensitive components.
This compact system has a 200x200x150 mm XYZ measurement volume, to accommodate a range of parts and fixtures. All stage motion and magnification changes are motor-driven for fully automatic measurement.
For video measurement, SmartScope Flash 200 features three illumination sources - a patented LED backlight that tracks the optics with no moving parts; patented SmartRing surface light with 8 sectors/6 rings of white LEDs providing variable light direction and angle of incidence; and a TTL coaxial surface illuminator. A 12x AccuCentric zoom lens provides high-resolution optical imaging for video metrology.
