Small Hole Carbide deburring tool

E-Z Burr Tool Company Announces New “Small Hole” Carbide Series

E-Z Burr Tool Company is pleased to announce the launch of their new “Small Hole” Carbide deburring tool. This new tool design extends E-Z Burr’s high performance Carbide Series to now deburr hole diameters as small as 0.125".
E-Z Burr’s new Small Hole Carbide tool was designed specifically for hard-to-machine materials, and exotic applications.

“We wanted to develop a technologically advanced carbide tool for hole deburring in the diameter range of 1/8" through 1/4". The largest percentage of our sales is in this diameter range and until now, we only had High Speed Steel (HSS) available,” explains Bill Robinson, President of E-Z Burr Tool Company. “Now we can offer manufacturers a carbide tool for tough materials and smaller holes that deburrs up to 3x faster and lasts up to 5x longer than HSS in this size range.”

“Over the past year, we tested this tool extensively and achieved successful results,” says Robinson. “With a Carbide deburring tool this small in size combined with a high caliber of quality and performance rate, we know it will significantly help our customers save time and money over other deburring methods.”

E-Z Burr has been innovating and manufacturing deburring tools for almost 50 years in which their patented deburring tool design deburrs both the front and backside of a hole in a single pass, and allows for easy blade or insert change and cutting pressure adjustment while the tool is still in the machine. The new Small Hole Carbide Tool features a carbide insert attached to an HSS flex arm with a dovetail fit. This unique dovetail joint design requires no other mechanical fasteners.

“The flex arm is a one-piece construction that allows it to be changed as easily as our HSS blades,” explains Robinson. “And, we are featuring a variety of coatings and geometries to handle a range of cutting conditions from easy to difficult. We are always thinking of our customers efficiency when developing our tools. That is why we combined the faster speeds and feeds of Carbide, our patented insert replacement system, along with the ability to deburr smaller hole diameters.”
