Kontec KSC centric clamping vises

Morrisville, North Carolina – Schunk has expanded the Kontec KSC 80 product line to include KSC 125 and KSC 160 in a variety of lengths and jaw configurations.

This centric clamping vise is a multifaceted component that has optimal jaw support for ID and OD clamping. It can be easily adapted for conventional clamping, short clamping depths for 5-sided machining, mold parts, plates, or saw cuts.

The KSC is known for high precision and process reliability, with an extremely flat design. A pre-tensioned and backlash-free center bearing and an extra fitted slide guarantee a repeat accuracy of ±0.01mm and enable the precise processing of the first and second side in a clamping system. An integrated chip drain and a protected spindle assure maximum process reliability. The centric clamping vise is suited for storage solutions in automated machine tools.

The vise is available with jaw width of 40mm, 80mm, 125mm, and 160mm and lengths up to 480mm, and clamping forces up to 50kN. The KSC vise offers a variety of jaw configurations including grip jaws, combination jaws, soft jaws, 5-axis jaws, and swivel jaws for complex applications.
