Van Nuys, California – Moticont has added to its line of Linear Voice Coil Motors (LVCM) two 1.000" (25.4mm) diameter motors.
The LVCM-025-022-01 has a stroke length of 0.375" (9.5mm) a mid-stroke length of 1.30" (33mm) and it has a high-force-to-size ratio of 16.9oz (4.7N) and a peak force of 53.5oz (14.9N) at 10% duty cycle.
The LVCM-025-029-01 has a stroke length of 0.625" (15.9mm) a mid-stroke length of 1.68" (43mm) with a continuous force of 18.2oz (5.1N) and a peak force of 57.7oz (16.0N) at 10% duty cycle.
These compact, high-force-to-size ratio motors are for: Work holding and clamping, medical devices, assembly, testing, laser machining and drilling, wafer handling, optical focusing, dynamic vibration absorption, scanners, and laser beam steering and filtering.
These clean, quiet, efficient, low inertia, high acceleration, brushless high-speed linear motors have zero cogging and features high accuracy, and high repeatability when operated in a closed loop as a DC servo motor. Each motor features a 10-32 UNC-2B threaded mounting hole in the center of the housing and two 6-32-UNC-2B threaded mounting holes on the coil end to easily add one of these motors to new or existing applications.
Metric series threads are available in production quantities and complete plug-and-play systems including an encoder and controller are also available.
