Leadscrew Assemblies

Waterbury, CT - Haydon Switch & Instrument, Inc., a world leader in stepper motor based linear actuators, is proud to announce the addition of a new product line; Lead Screw Assemblies, to their extensive line of award winning linear motion products. Haydons new line of lead screw assemblies includes a broad offering of acme leadscrews, advanced coatings and the most technically advanced anti-backlash nuts available in the market. These products provide designers with improved axial system stiffness. Haydon offers a comprehensive selection of acme leadscrews manufactured from 303 stainless steel, produced with Haydons proprietary precision rolling process and the industrys tightest lead accuracy. The leadscrews are also available with Haydons unique Black Ice " coating, a specially developed PTFE coating process, which eliminates the flaking that commonly occurs with other PTFE coatings used in todays marketplace. The leadscrews are available in diameters ranging from .1875 to .375. For each diameter there are wide varieties of leads available. Haydons new anti-backlash nuts are ideal for applications that require precise positioning as they eliminate the minimal backlash between the lead screw and nut interface. The nuts are manufactured from a proprietary self-lubricating polyacetal that, when combined with our precision rolled stainless steel leadscrews, provides low drag torque and smooth operation throughout the life of the assembly. When supplied from the factory with Haydons standard lubricant these nuts are designed to operate for the life of the application without re-lubrication. They can also be operated without lubrication when combined with Haydons Black Ice " coated screws. Three anti-backlash styles are available as well as a new low profile freewheeling design. The new nuts are available with a thread mount and are easily customizable with a variety of standard or special flange configurations. These nuts are available in a wide range of diameters and leads.
