Seco-Carboloy has added new fixed pocket and adjustable cutters
to their range of 335.18 indexable insert disc mills.
"The free cutting design prolongs tool life and provides
excellent performance in difficult materials or in extended
applications," says Jim Minock, milling products manager at
Seco-Carboloy. "With a wide range of grades, these new disc
mills effectively machine a broad spectrum of materials, and
provide confidence and reliability for customers performing
short run projects to full scale production."
The additions include new free cutting (positive geometry)
LNKT and LNKW inserts and round 6 mm and 8 mm RD and
RP styles. These new inserts feature corner radii from 0.015 to
0.122-in for all disc milling applications. Additionally, a full range
of grades is available to provide consistent performance in steel,
stainless steel, and cast iron.
The cutters range from 4.00 to 10.00-in. and are available both
with and without hub.
