INDEX OFFERS SINGLE-SPINDLE CNC BAR MACHINE

With the new C65 CNC Single Spindle Bar Machine, INDEX continues a 90-year tradition of successful singlespindle bar automatics, according to the company. The C65 can include a heavy-duty counter-spindle and Y-axis for extended machining flexibility and increased speed. According to Index, the new model offers new levels of both productivity and flexibility for work done from bar stock.

The C65 has enough power to do a lot of work in a short time, with optional 42mm (1 5/8 in.) or 65mm (2 ½ in.) bar capacity and a maximum spindle speed of 6,300. It features 5,000 rpm at 20KW or 26hp at 100% (60 min) duty rating, and 105Nm (77ftlbs) torque. Despite its large working range, the machine exhibits a compact screw machine size design, requiring little floor space.

Both turret slides and the counterspindle slide offer a 1g acceleration rate, and rapid traverse rates of 25m/ min and 50m/min, adding to the productivity because of its faster motions. These production advantages can often become essential for the survival of a business, particularly for job shops.
