Saint-Romain, France and Marlborough, Massachusetts – TraceParts, a provider of 3D digital content for engineering, and Kubotek, the CAD software developer of KeyCreator 3D Direct CAD, KeyCreator Analysis, KeyMarkUp Multi-CAD Viewer and Mark Up Tool, KeyCreator Machinist, and Kubotek Spectrum CAD viewer have concluded a partnership agreement for publishing CAD data.
Available immediately, KeyCreator 2016 is the latest software release from Kubotek and offers numerous new features, improved functions, and many customer-driven enhancements that build upon the productivity and flexibility of KeyCreator Direct CAD.
Through this partnership with TraceParts, Kubotek users can now access hundreds of thousands of standard catalog parts already available from the TraceParts CAD platform, with free access to CAD models, drawings and assemblies in native KeyCreator or ACIS formats.
Kubotek users are now able to select standard parts and reuse them to make custom designs and tooling to further increase design productivity. The latest TraceParts integration will enable Kubotek customers to easily locate suppliers of parts they selected in their design, enhancing further the hand-over from design to supply chain.
According to Matt Carr, vice president Sales & Support at Kubotek, the release of KeyCreator 2016 addresses “the lack of CAD interoperability in the industry, including the difficult task of reusing CAD data.” Carr added that “the expense, errors, and man-hours needed to read, edit, and often redraw CAD files need to be eliminated, and we are continuing to lead the way on eliminating that extra time and expense for our customers.”
This new partnership with Kubotek will enable TraceParts to consolidate further its technical-data and 3D-model publishing network, which already boasts 15 million CAD users around the world.
