Solar Atmospheres of Western PA gets Pratt & Whitney approval

Solar Atmospheres of Western Pennsylvania has been awarded Pratt & Whitney, PWA 11, “Heat Treatments” approval. This significant milestone positions the Western PA facility as a top choice for customers requiring thermal processing that meets Pratt & Whitney's rigorous standards. The facility is now certified to perform heat treatments for P&W’s Suffix 17, “Precipitation Harden,” and Suffix 22, “Austenitize, Quench, and Temper.”

Justin Hoffman, Quality Manager at Solar Atmospheres of Western PA, shared his enthusiasm: “Hermitage is thrilled to join other Solar locations in achieving Pratt & Whitney approvals for heat treating non-rotor parts.
