Los Angeles – Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. subsidiary AMI Metals Inc., headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee, has been awarded a multi-year contract by Lockheed Martin to provide aluminum flat rolled material for the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The five-year contract, with an estimated value of $300 million, runs Jan. 1, 2017 through Dec. 31, 2021. The contract requirements include value-added, just-in-time, cut-to-size, and cut-to-shape processing of aluminum plate for use by multiple Lockheed Martin, Lockheed Martin Aeronautics teammates, and subcontractor facilities for all F-35 aluminum flat rolled requirements.
