Private Dutch investment company acquires aviation aftermarket businesses from GKN Aerospace.

Panta Holdings, a Dutch investment company, is expanding its aerospace footprint by acquiring aviation aftermarket businesses Fokker Services and Fokker Techniek from Fokker Technologies/GKN Aerospace, effective April 1, 2021. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Under new ownership, the companies will continue to invest in technology innovations, advanced processes, and engineering excellence to play a leading role in the aerospace aftermarket. Both companies will work closely together and are well positioned to capture growth in various aerospace segments in a market changed by COVID-19, with its global facilities in the Netherlands, Singapore, and the United States.

Customers around the world can continue to rely on the 100+ years of design, production, and maintenance expertise, delivering innovative total support solutions.

Fokker Services and Fokker Techniek will be jointly led by two experienced industry executives, Roland van Dijk and Menzo van der Beek.

A strategic investment company privately owned by multi-millionaire Jaap Rosen Jacobson, Panta focuses on developing companies that are going through a strategic transformation. The company has significant experience in the aerospace industry. Part of its current investment portfolio is a majority stake (71.2%) in Canadian listed Avcorp Industries Inc, a supplier of airframe components and component repair, and Netherlands Aircraft Co. N.V. (NAC), a start-up to develop an aircraft based on the Fokker 100 regional jet. Past holdings include several airlines and leading companies including VLM Airlines N.V. that was successfully sold to Air France - KLM in 2008.

Fokker Techniek at Aviolanda Aerospace at Woensdrecht airport, the Netherlands, builds on more than a century of experience and excels in complex projects. Due to its strong engineering background, Fokker Techniek specializes in green aircraft completions, conversions, upgrades, and refurbishments, both for the VIP Aircraft Market, including Airbus ACJ and Boeing BBJ, and the Special Mission Aircraft Market. Fokker Techniek provides full MRO support to private and commercial aircraft operators including Lease Transition Maintenance, together with extensive capabilities including heavy maintenance, modifications, and aircraft painting.

As a global independent aerospace service provider, Fokker Services creates tailored solutions for the maintenance of regional, commercial, and military aircraft. Services range from type certificate holder-related product support services to flight hour-based component availability and repair programs, spare parts, engineering, modifications, and documentation support. Fokker Services has facilities in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
