
Charlotte, North Carolina – CNC machine tool manufacturer Okuma Corp. will make its first appearance at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget, France, June 15-21, 2015, in Hall 1, G294. Representatives from Okuma Europe and Okuma America Corp., as well as representatives from Okuma’s distributors, will be on hand to discuss CNC machine tools, including intelligent, multitasking machines and comprehensive, intelligent tooling solutions for the aerospace industry.
In conjunction with the air show, Okuma Europe is hosting their annual “Technical Days” at the Okuma Tech Center in Paris. Newly designated as an Aerospace Center of Excellence, the facility will be open to visitors from 8a.m. – 6p.m. A special shuttle service will transport guests between the two events.
Guests will have the opportunity to take tours and meet with Okuma technicians to discuss new CNC technology. Attendees will experience first-hand how to maximize efficiency and productivity through a variety of CNC applications and demonstrations specifically developed for the aerospace industry. Demonstrations will feature Okuma’s exclusive Thermo-Friendly Concepts, which acts to compensate for thermal deformation associated with long, continuous runs. This unique functionality is enabled by Okuma’s open architecture OSP-P control which runs on a Windows platform and is fully integrated with the machine, motors, drives, and encoders, allowing for enhance machine performance and customization to suit particular machining needs.
