Exhall, United Kingdom – Nasmyth Group, a supplier of precision engineering, products, and services worldwide, will be exhibiting at Aero India 2015 Feb. 18-22 at Air Force Station Yelahanka, Bengaluru.
Aero India is an important event for the group which already has an established presence in the country through its Bangalore-based liaison office, Nasmyth India, which is a substantial business, growing at a year-on-year rate of more than 300%.
Nasmyth India provides management of the Group’s Indian Supply Chain, which includes all aspects from sourcing, quotation, engineering, management, and inspection through to ultimate shipping to customers across global markets.
Together with its Indian partner companies, Nasmyth India offers a comprehensive precision manufacturing and engineering service for turned and prismatic components from single products through to medium and large batch orders. Through its indigenous supply chain, Nasmyth India can address not only the exacting requirements of the aerospace industry, but can also offer solutions within the electrical connector and the medical equipment sectors. This complements the core skills and capabilities offered by the Nasmyth Group within the UK and North America.
Aero India, billed as Asia’s premier Air Show, covers all aspects of the aerospace industry, including both civil and defence aviation and airport infrastructure, and is expected to attract more than 750 companies from India and abroad as well as 150,000 business visitors this year. Of particular significance for Nasmyth Group is the fact that Aero India is being run in conjunction with Make in India, a program designed to attract the investment required to create a national, best-in-class, manufacturing infrastructure.
Chairman and CEO of Nasmyth Group, Peter Smith, commented: “Aero India offers an excellent opportunity for us to promote and build on our existing position in the country. Nasmyth India is already providing supply chain solutions for precision parts and complex assemblies for an international customer base and places us in strong position to respond to the requirements of OEMs, primes and major players seeking to extend their global sourcing into the emerging economies.”
