Montreal, Canada – Minicut Wave Geometry cutting tools are for rough machining of titanium and other exotic materials. Made from both powdered metal and cobalt material, these tools are offered with a PVD coating that was specifically developed for machining high strength alloys. The flute patented profile aids efficient chip formation, evacuation from the work area, and increased feeds, resulting in a higher volume of metal removal.
Minicut (PM) Wave end mills for roughing and finishing of titanium and other exotic materials are available with or without coolant holes. These tools will generate maximum metal removal rates at higher feed rates. The flute profile combined with high pressure coolant holes will efficiently evacuate the chip from the work area allowing for increased chip load per tooth. The PM material allows for greater toughness, generating longer tool life.
Minicut (PM) Wave end mills with extended neck for roughing & finishing deep pockets in titanium & other exotic materials (with or without coolant holes) are designed for deep pocket machining applications. The flute profile combined with high pressure coolant holes will quickly evacuate the chip from the work area, which is critical in deep pocket machining, thus allowing for higher metal removal rates. The PM material allows for greater toughness, generating longer tool life.
Super-Cobalt roughing end mills for titanium and other exotic materials are offered as a less expensive alternative to the PM tools. They have the same flute profile and coating, however, they are not offered with coolant holes.
All products mentioned above are available in inch and metric sizes.
