Welltech Machinery Company, producer of disk type oil skimmers, has named CNC Indexing & Feeding Technologies exclusive U.S. importer for their products.
Disk oil skimmers can reduce coolant costs and skimmed waste oil can be recycled for additional savings. Other advantages of using a disk oil skimmer on a machine tool’s coolant tank include:
- Extend coolant lifespan by removing tramp oil from the coolant
- Eliminate foul odors by preventing growth of anaerobic bacteria
- Minimize dermatitis caused by skin contact with dirty coolant
- Prevent plugging of coolant nozzles and filters.
The fully covered design of the DG-260TSL offers a 10” stainless steel disk with a reach of 5.75”, three programmable modes and an oil/coolant separator. The process is simple. The disk picks up the coolant/oil mixture from the machine’s coolant tank. The coolant sinks to the bottom of the oil skimmer’s separation tank and is routed back into the machine’s coolant tank. The waste oil rises to the top where it is diverted into a containment barrel for recycling.
