About the presentation
In this presentation, Andy, Josh, and John will sit down for a fireside chat and discuss the 20-year history of AI and Machine Learning as it relates to the manufacturing and skilled trades industry. Josh will ask Andy a variety of questions to ignite an extemporaneous conversation around his approach to AI and Machine Learning and what the future looks like for robotics in the next 5+ years from his perspective.

Meet your presenters
Andy Lonsberry is an engineer and problem-solver who is passionate about Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and robotics. After earning his BS in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, Andy went on to complete his Master of Science in Engineering from Case Western Reserve. He embarked on his PhD in Philosophy at CWR while he continued his focus on finding ways to use AI-driven robotics alongside his studies. He couldn't shake his desire to solve massive challenges in the manufacturing industry. In 2016 he paused on his PhD and co-founded Path Robotics, which assembles robotic arms with AI sensors enabling them to complete a variety of welding tasks. When Andy is not busy unlocking new technological advances in robotics, you can find him spending time with his wife and kids in Central Ohio.
Josh Leath graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Economics. After spending over a decade as a senior product and brand manager for tool and test equipment lines in the electronics and composites industries, Josh joined Yaskawa as product manager for thermal robotics at Yaskawa Motoman in 2017. His development approach targets input from end users to create a better solution. Josh’s Voice of Customer efforts have transformed how the organization captures and utilizes customer feedback to breed solutions that ensure customers are equipped with the tools and knowledge they need to be successful. His experience with a variety of different customers and projects helps distill common challenges that can be forged into new products and he shares that wisdom with other automation customers and partners to drive the most value out of their solutions.
John Paradise is a seasoned engineer turned technical sales leader with a robust foundation in robotics, specializing in industrial automation and commercial/industrial design and build environments. His keen ability to swiftly identify pain points and deliver impactful solutions has set him apart in the industry.
At Path Robotics, an innovative AI-powered robotics automation start-up, John has been instrumental in building the company’s revenue team by generating meaningful relationships within the manufacturing industry.
John's unique blend of sales acumen and engineering prowess enables him to serve as a strategic advisor, helping to design and deliver solutions that are transforming industries. A lifelong resident of the midwest, outside of work you can find John spending time with his family, cheering on any Ohio sports team, or reading a good book.
