About the presentation
Many a shop has balked at the perceived time and cost investment of implementing automated solutions in their manufacturing operations. It’s too expensive. How can we integrate these new machines into our existing system? Do we need to upgrade our machine tools? We’ll have to lay off personnel. What if we move or add to our shop floor space? Will we need to install a whole new automation system? Do we need the whole kit and kaboodle all at once?
The simple answer: No. Mr. Niemi will introduce attendees to the real-world applicability of flexible automation systems by discussing how actual shops ranging from 0-50 people to those with large-scale operations have disrupted their own operations to achieve success in CNC automation. Attendees will learn how automation can be implemented in any size shop using flexible, modular systems that work with existing machine tools and equipment; how these systems can scale up as operations grow; and the different ways shop floor personnel can move into different roles using their skills in new ways; and how cost-effectively installation can be done when the right systems are put in place.
