InTech Aerospace promotes Scott Mowery to president

Company specializes in aircraft interior components: seats, galleys, lavatories, composite panels; plus maintenance, repair, and overhaul.

InTech Aerospace LLC, a technical services firm specializing in commercial and government airplane interiors and components, has promoted Scott Mowery to president. Mowery previously held the positions of chief operating officer and vice president-operations for InTech Aerospace. As InTech's top on-site leader, Mowery will oversee all technical and business operations of InTech and will be responsible for the company's performance for its customers and FAA compliance.

Todd Wilkinson, former president & CEO of InTech Aerospace and a continuing substantial shareholder in the enterprise, said, "All of us in the shareholders group support and endorse this important and well-qualified promotion.  Scott Mowery is the right leader as InTech Aerospace moves forward."

Steve Townes, CEO of InTech's parent company, said: "We thank Todd Wilkinson for his long service as president of InTech Aerospace, and appreciate his continuing support and advice as a fellow shareholder. Scott Mowery has steadily advanced inside InTech Aerospace, proving that he has the right stuff to deliver great performance for our airline and MRO customers. Scott has a long technical career in aircraft MRO for airlines clients, plus USAF experience in aircraft technical support. Our board is unanimous for this well-earned promotion from within."

Based in Houston, Texas, InTech Aerospace performs a variety of overhaul, repair, and retrofit chores chiefly on aircraft interiors and related components on fixed-wing aircraft. InTech’s client list includes regional airlines, mainline carriers, large OEMs, aircraft leasing companies, government aircraft, and major MRO facilities.

Mowery originally joined InTech as senior director of Operations & Quality, with subsequent merit-based promotions to vice president of ooperations, then chief operating officer. He has nearly 30 years' total aircraft maintenance experience, including 6 years in aviation maintenance with the US Air Force. He previously was a general manager and the maintenance production control manager for the fleet support division of a major airline. Mowery is a recognized expert in aircraft interiors and other aviation overhaul & repair disciplines. He is also an FAA-licensed airframe & powerplant repairman, and holds the FAA's Inspection Authorization distinction.

InTech Aerospace finds itself in a period of unprecedented expansion in commercial aerospace. The airlines' fleets of large and regional sized planes are expected to double in their numbers in the next 20 years (forecasts by Boeing, Airbus, and FAA), and interiors tend to wear out with heavy use, requiring periodic overhaul and upgrade. That aftermarket cycle of recurring repairs is where InTech Aerospace predicts its steadiest growth in the next 5 to 10 years.
