Columbia, South Carolina – Impresa Aerospace LLC has acquired Dynamic Solutions LLC and its existing manufacturing facility near Charleston, South Carolina, in Berkeley County. Through its multi-million dollar investment, Impresa is expected to create 72 new jobs in Goose Creek, South Carolina, during the next five years.
“This acquisition is in line with our strategic objectives of continually investing in our customers and increased vertical integration,” states Scott Smith, CEO of Impresa Aerospace. “By strategically placing production in close proximity to our OEM and Tier 1 customers, and enhancing our existing machining capabilities, we move these key objectives forward.”
The acquisition of the assets – including the real estate, machinery and equipment – will be followed by future capital infusions designated for facility upgrades, increased staff and further training.
Impresa Aerospace's origins in the Southern California aerospace supply chain can be traced back more than 50 years. In 2014, Impresa Aerospace was acquired by Twin Haven Capital Partners LLC, fueling the company's growth, including the South Carolina expansion, through its equity capital resources. Headquartered in Gardena, California, Impresa is an original equipment manufacturer and Tier 1 provider of complex structures and components for aerospace platforms including commercial jets, regional and business aircraft, and military aircraft.
The new South Carolina operation gives Impresa a manufacturing position on the U.S. East Coast, in a region that is emerging as an international hub for aerospace and aviation. Sitting on 7.5 acres just outside the city of Charleston, the new Impresa Goose Creek facility compliments the company’s Southern California and Kansas operations with an additional 40,000ft2 of manufacturing capacity. The acquired Dynamic Solutions facility boasts an array of CNC milling and turning machines, including 5- and 7-axis multitasking technologies.
“This new facility ideally positions us to meet the growing needs of Boeing and other key customers in the region,” states Rob Webster, managing partner for Twin Haven Capital.
