Great Lakes Science Center, 601 Erieside Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114 invites guests to let their imagination run wild when Build It: Engineering Ideas Brick by Brick opens on Friday, November 3.

Whether you are a seasoned builder or a first-time explorer, this extraordinary wonderland of colorful bricks offers the perfect playground to construct your wildest ideas and take on exciting challenges. Guests can join forces with their fellow builders to connect, collaborate, and create larger-than-life masterpieces in the exhibit’s free build areas, and contribute to a large timber-frame playhouse structure.

Code a brick robot to victory, take on a bridge building challenge, or customize a race car and see what shape helps you get to the finish line the fastest! Younger builders can use oversized and soft bricks to construct their own creations as well in the exhibit’s early childhood area.

An LED wall will encourage guests to experiment with light and color while building an artistic masterpiece, and a collaborative mosaic wall will grow with community creations as the exhibit runs through April 15, 2024. Builders can try out the Brickit app that scans your available bricks and gives you build ideas or play a brick-based version of “I spy” while searching through bricks to find different objects. Speed-based building challenges, photo stations for documenting your creations, and even activity stations that will test your ability to build using only the sense of touch await!

Experience the awe-inspiring journey of Build It – a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and engineering, where the possibilities are endless and imagination knows no limits!

Build It: Engineering Ideas Brick by Brick is included with general admission. Plan your visit today.
