Edinburgh, UK – Global testing company Exova has added 12 latest-design fatigue frames at its locations in North America. Manufactured by MTS, these frames come with the latest Test Suite software, which allows advanced test programming and detailed analysis and presentation of test data.
This investment brings Exova’s fatigue frame count in North America to 83, at locations in Santa Fe Springs and Anaheim, California; and Mississauga, Canada. The new frames expand Exova’s provision for highly technical fatigue testing, such as spectrum and sub-element testing, widening services for its North America-based customers.
Customer testing is now being loaded on the new frames at Santa Fe Springs and Anaheim, with the frames at Mississauga scheduled to come on line in early June.
Chris Harwood, technical director Aerospace, Americas, commented: “The addition of these 12 frames demonstrates Exova’s commitment to invest in new technology and provide our customers with the latest fatigue testing capabilities available. However, Exova’s commitment doesn’t stop here; we are currently working on a capital expenditure plan to procure an additional 12 frames to satisfy growing customer demand.”
Exova operates 145 laboratories and offices in 32 countries and employs around 4,500 people throughout Europe, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia/Asia Pacific.
In aerospace, Exova supports commercial and military primes and their global supply chains via a network of 13 Nadcap approved laboratories worldwide. It also holds approvals from all major OEMs. It specializes in the provision of mechanical, non-destructive, and chemical testing programs for aerospace composites, alloys, and ceramics.
