Cincinnati, Ohio-based Belcan, a global supplier of engineering, supply chain, technical recruiting, and information technology (IT) services supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial, and government services markets, has been selected as a recipient of the 2017 Pratt & Whitney Supplier Productivity Innovation Award. Designated as one of Pratt & Whitney’s two most innovative suppliers, this is the sixth award Belcan has received from Pratt & Whitney in the last seven years.

Belcan's CEO Lance Kwasniewski accepted the award on behalf of the Belcan team at the Pratt & Whitney Supplier Summit held in East Hartford, Connecticut. "Belcan's performance-driven culture is key to our six-decade history of exceptional service and the driving force behind our commitment to our customers' success," Kwasniewski said. "I am very proud of our team for consistently delivering the highest standards of value and innovation to Pratt & Whitney throughout our long-standing relationship."

"Belcan's commitment to driving change and continuously delivering better solutions to Pratt & Whitney through value added innovations ensures the continued advancement and quality of our products, while allowing Pratt & Whitney to maintain its competitive edge in the marketplace," said Mahesh Patel, director of global engineering sourcing, Pratt & Whitney.

"We are very proud of the talent and domain expertise our people bring to our customers – innovation is a key differentiator for Belcan and is highly valued in the aerospace community," said Joe Triompo, president of Belcan's engineering services segment.

The award was based on Belcan's 2017 achievements, including eight client patents, nine tool/software innovations, and 10 productivity improvements worth $4.9 million in savings to Pratt & Whitney. Belcan also won the award as a result of its commitment to initiatives such as internal award programs, internal and external training programs, technical mentoring efforts, teaming endeavors, and science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) outreach.
