Toronto, Canada-based Magellan Aerospace Corp. has been selected by Airbus to provide exhaust systems for the A320neo family of aircraft. Magellan will design, develop, and manufacture exhaust systems for the A320neo Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1100G-JM nacelle, with the first unit scheduled to enter service in 2022. Revenue generated from this life-of-program contract is estimated to exceed US$162 million during the first 10 years of the contract. The fabricated metallic exhaust systems will be produced at Magellan's North American facilities in Winnipeg and Manitoba, Canada, and Middletown, Ohio and will be delivered directly to Airbus assembly lines across the globe.

Magellan has a long history working with Airbus, supplying exhaust systems for both the A380 and A340 aircraft as well as a wide range of precision machined structural components and assemblies for the full range of Airbus aircraft including A320, A330, and A350 families.
