SGS Wins ISA’s 2012 American Eagle Award

SGS Tool Company received the 2012 American Eagle Value-Added Partner Award from The Industrial Supply Association. This prestigious award has only been achieved by a select few, recognizing true partnership between industrial supply channel partners. The ISA awarded SGS Tool Company, DGI Supply and Pittman Industrial its American Eagle Award at the Product Show and Conference held in San Antonio, TX, April 24 - 27, 2012.

Specifically, the award recognizes how SGS, along with distributor DGI Supply and SGS manufacturer’s representative Pittman Industrial helped an aerospace company save money and gain significant production time with a very profitable titanium machining job. SGS was able to work with the customer to redefine the machine programming parameters and test a new multiple flute high performance finishing end mill that was still in development, ultimately optimizing tool performance and reducing cycle time. The new Multi-Carb end mill allowed production of more parts faster with a longer tool life, saving the customer more than $191,000 in total machine time savings.
