Thermacore Inc., a leading provider of advanced thermal solutions, has achieved AS9100:2009 Rev. C certification and was re-certified to ISO 9001:2008.
“Achieving this certification is a true testament to our quality systems and our commitment to ensuring we meet and exceed our customers' expectations for highly reliable thermal management products, services and material solutions,” said Jerome E. Toth, President and Chief Executive Officer of Thermacore.
Developed specifically for the aviation, space and defense industries, the AS9100 standard was established by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) for the purpose of achieving significant industry improvements in quality, safety, and customer service, as well as reductions in cost throughout the value stream. AS9100 is globally recognized and incorporates best practices from across the aerospace and defense industry. The latest revision of AS9100, known as Rev. C, places additional emphasis on risk management and mitigation, stresses supply chain management controls, and assigns greater focus on planning and project management, which are all designed to ensure a higher level of customer satisfaction and quality.
AS9100 Rev. C imposes a number of requirements for the business process that must be fulfilled to achieve customer satisfaction, including a requirement for planned and continual improvement of the quality management system. Specifically for Thermacore, key components of AS9100 Rev. C require:
* Verified customer satisfaction
* Continuous improvement
* Understanding and conformance to customer requirements
* Deploying and maintaining a compliant AS9100 Rev. C quality management system
The registration was granted by Lloyd’s Registrar Quality Assurance (LRQA), an ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) recognized organization. Leonard Dore, Vice President Operations at Thermacore explained, “The Rev. C certification represents affirmation by a global third-party registrar that Thermacore has the policies and practices in place to assure our customers of the world-class quality and reliability of our products and services, as well as the reassurance of on-time delivery and satisfaction.”
