JP Sales Company Inc. (Ann Arbor, MI) has announced the formation of a new joint venture between CIGNYS (Saginaw, MI) and Jay Industries Inc. (Mansfield, OH), aimed at bringing the benefits of large-scale vertically integrated manufacturing to customers in the defense, aerospace, automotive, agricultural equipment, and numerous other industries. “The collective in-house capabilities of these two firms, with their proven 90-year track record of designing and building a wide variety of products for an array of demanding OEMs, will result in a lower cost alternative than outsourcing to multiple suppliers,” notes Todd Gensheimer, President of JP Sales. “The integration resulting from this joint venture will particularly bring new efficiencies to complex defense industry projects, among others,” he adds.
CIGNYS, with metalworking expertise the chief of its several competencies, has invested tens of millions of dollars in state-of-the-art machine tools and fabricating equipment, allowing it to tackle nearly any metalworking task, from prototype part development to low or moderate volume production runs, with the utmost efficiency and precision.
“We augment these strengths with robust design and engineering capabilities utilizing advanced software and computers along with highly skilled designers, engineers and manufacturing technicians,” says CIGNYS CEO Charles Lange. “Our joint venture with Jay Industries will allow us to build on this expertise while offering customers an array of valuable new services,” he continues.
Similarly, Jay Industries, with both a Metals and Plastics Group, has a proven record of accomplishment in bringing customers’ projects from concept and design to prototyping and production at low to high volume levels. The competencies of its fully vertically integrated manufacturing Metals Group include engineering and design, 5-axis machining, coil slitting, tube manufacturing, tube bending, metal stamping, laser processing, fabricating and welding, as well as e-coating and powder coating.
“The joint venture will allow both companies to strengthen the competencies they share, while simultaneously tapping into the other’s unique expertise,” observes Rick Taylor, CEO, Jay Industries, Inc.
JP Sales enhances and expands these complimentary capabilities with its product development and marketing skills along with its proven strengths in strategic planning, program administration, and business services such as accounting and legal support.
“We are pleased to facilitate this synergistic alliance of CIGNYS and Jay Industries,” declares JP Sales President Gensheimer. “It will deliver new levels of speed, efficiency and cost reduction to customers in the defense, agricultural, aerospace and a wide variety of other industries.”
