Solar's large furnaces' vacuum thermal processing provides the precise and uniform temperatures needed during the heating and cooling of the processing cycle. Solar's vacuum furnaces produce bright, clean parts while minimizing distortion and oxidation. The new furnace complements these advantages with 36ft lengths and 150,000 lb. load capabilities. The 36ft furnace has a hot zone with a 6ft working diameter, temperatures up to 2,800°, vacuum levels of 10-5 torr, and two-bar quenching capabilities to cool the large loads.
The large furnaces provide vacuum thermal processing for parts made from stainless steels, high nickel alloys, tantalum and titanium. Various heat treatments include bright annealing, hydrogen annealing, hydrogen degassing, bright stress relieving, bright hardening and tempering, bright age hardening, stabilization, creep forming, solution treating, infiltration, sintering, diffusion bonding (coatings), and vacuum brazing. Solar's large furnaces, 10ft, 12ft, 24ft and 36ft in length, are well suited for heat treating various sized parts, assemblies and weldments.
Primary and secondary metals are vacuum thermally processed for precise and uniform temperature processing with bright results and minimized oxidation. The 36ft furnace complements these advantages with processing capabilities of 36ft lengths and 150,000 lb. loads. This new furnace has a hot zone with a 6ft working diameter, processing temperatures up to 2,650°, and vacuum levels of 10-5 torr.
