Engineered for precision, reliability, and ease of use, the updated MDE QuantuMike uses a wider thread pitch, enabling the spindle to move 2.0mm per rotation – 4x faster than conventional micrometers. This ensures smoother operation, even in high-volume settings.
The unit detects when the spindle comes into contact too quickly and is equipped with tolerance judgment, calculation, and calibration timing notification allowing measurements to be performed reliably.
Its ratchet thimble mechanism provides stable, one-handed operation, delivering tactile feedback through ratcheting sounds to confirm secure measurements. The speeder ratchet aids in rapid spindle feed, improving efficiency. Workpiece release time is also shortened, making it possible to significantly reduce measuring times with multi-stepped workpieces.
An approach speed warning function helps prevent damage from excessive speed, with a flashing display to alert users. Calibration management is simplified with warning alerts for upcoming calibration dates, ensuring the device remains accurate and reliable. Tolerance (GO/NG) icons on the LCD display enable quick judgments.
The display is larger and easier to read from any angle, featuring clear measurement values and icons. Larger buttons enhance usability, and key operations can be customized for a more intuitive user experience.

Bidirectional Digimatic S1 serial communication allows easy setup and monitoring of Digimatic gages directly from a PC, enabling precise and efficient management. The user can apply consistent settings across multiple gages simultaneously, saving time and delivering uniformity across operations.
The unit offers a maximum permissible error of ±1μm, ensuring it meets the demands of high-precision workpieces.
With an IP65 protection rating, the micrometer is water- and dust-resistant, able to withstand challenging environments where exposure to coolant and debris is common.
