Kel-Vita, a universal ID/OD grinding machine, meets the diversity of customer's needs and workpieces up to a length of 1,000mm. Kel-Vita features numerous wheelhead configurations, low friction linear rails and a newly-developed CNC control.
The Kel-Vita is offered in three models: Kel-Vita 600, Kel-Vita 800 and Kel-Vita 1000 with the number representing the between-centers capacity in millimeters. Center height is 175mm for all machines. The selection from eight different grinding wheelhead types provides flexibility for the customer to design their specific machine configuration. UR and URS wheelheads feature a swiveling design with two external (and one internal) grinding wheels. It's capable of performing multiple processes, including external diameters, opposed faces, bores, tapers, polygons, tapered non-rounds and thread grinding – in a single chucking.
The combination of low friction X-axis guideways and wear resistant Z-axis linear guide rails provides optimal precision, rigidity and cushioning qualities. The extremely stiff linear bearing in the X axis forms the basis for high performance and dynamics, thus affording precision in circular and noncircular grinding.
