The expanded line of solid carbide mills for machining aluminum includes the MA267/MA263 Advance milling tools for high metal removal rates. Available in diameters from 1/8" to 1", MA267/MA263 Advance tools machine all ISO N materials. The WJ30UU grade is uncoated; the WJ30CD grade features a wear-resistant zirconium nitride (ZrN) coating to maximize tool life. The MA263’s chip breaker geometry reduces cutting pressure and vibration at high feed rates. Both versions offer aggressive ramping and a polished flute face to optimize chip evacuation.
The MA268 in 1/4" to 1" diameters offers high-velocity rough machining of ISO N materials. The cylindrical shank tool comes with a standard or reduced neck in uncoated WJ30UU grade and WJ30CD grade with ZrN coating. The geometry reduces cutting pressures and vibration at high feed rates, while serrated cutting edges shorten chip length to aid chip evacuation and reduce tool pressure.
Modular inverted vertical gear cutting system
Cutting gears with one or two workpiece spindles, the compact machine is configurable for hobbing, cycloidal milling, pointing, chamfering, deburring, and Scudding – a continual gear cutting process enabling the production of external and internal gears as well as spur and helical gears. Advanced linear drives in the X- and Y-axis and a torque drive in the A-axis offer high machine dynamics for short cycle times and maximum accuracy.
An intuitive user interface allows easy setup and programming, and a large machining area makes the 300-V easy to access and maintain. A tool charger is optional.
Profilator machines offer dry machining, with no coolant and no coolant mist. The inverted, vertical spindle(s) allow free chip fall into the central chip conveyor, while no coolant means no washing of the workpiece and no coolant disposal required.
Portable measuring arms for inspection
Portable 6-axis Freedom Arm v2 products offer full IP54 protection from water splashes and ingress of dust and particles for 3D tactile inspection and measurement in harsh industrial environments.
A range of 21 stainless steel-tipped probes with a stainless steel or carbon fiber body, as well as updated RDS software v6.2 communicate with the arm via Wi-Fi or USB. A CP-W control pack supplies battery power.
The 7-axis Freedom Arm v2 isn’t IP54 rated but can deploy a laser scanner and a tactile probe for multi-sensor data capture. An OLED touchscreen provides fingertip control of settings, messages, and results. A CP-B battery pack with Ethernet connection for probe and laser scanner is for use where Wi-Fi isn’t permitted.
Probing accuracy is certified to ISO 10360-12 and functionality is guaranteed up to 40°C.
The arms’ absolute encoders feed back the angular position of every joint to the control software, avoiding the need for encoder referencing and system warm-up before every use.
