Manufacturing workholding solutions provider SMW Autoblok Group has acquired Tecnomagnete, a permanent electromagnetic clamping and lifting systems provider. Headquartered in Milan, Italy, Tecnomagnete has divisions in the U.S., Germany, France, and China.

Jorgensen partners with S.F.H.
Mequon, Wisconsin-based Jorgensen Conveyor and Filtration Solutions has solidified a strategic alliance with chip processing equipment manufacturer S.F.H. based in St-Étienne, France. The new business partnership provides Jorgensen the exclusive rights to sell S.F.H. products in North America.
Jorgensen will initially focus on offering S.F.H. chip shredders, briquetters, and centrifuges.

Jill Albertelli succeeds Matthew Bromberg as president, Pratt & Whitney Military Engines
Pratt & Whitney named Jill Albertelli president of its Military Engines business, succeeding Matthew Bromberg. Albertelli, most recently Pratt & Whitney’s senior vice president of Transformation and Strategy, brings 30 years of experience in engineering, operations, program management, sales, commercial aftermarket, and product quality.
“Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines business is well-positioned for long-term success thanks to its technology and product offerings across a strong portfolio of major platforms such as the F-35, B-21, and KC-46,” says Pratt & Whitney President Chris Calio.
Albertelli’s other recent duties have been in overseeing digital technology, the building of Pratt & Whitney’s turbine airfoil production facility set to open in 2022 in Asheville, North Carolina, and leading the company’s Office of the Future initiative, with 80% of headquarters salaried staff afforded greater flexibility in remote work options.

Vertex acquires Raytheon Technologies’ Defense Training, Mission Critical Solutions business lines
Global aftermarket aerospace services provider Vertex Aerospace completed its acquisition of Raytheon Technologies’ Defense Training and Mission Critical Solutions business lines.
The transaction expands Vertex’s technology solutions and services, including defense and commercial training, mission-critical support solutions, and engineering and modernization capabilities.
The acquired businesses generated approximately $1 billion of sales in 2020.
