Sekisui SPI renamed to Sekisui Kydex LLC

Sekisui SPI, manufacturer of Kydex thermoplastics, will be renamed Sekisui Kydex LLC on April 1, 2020. Sekisui Chemical acquired the Kydex brand in 1990.

Kydex thermoplastics are specialized polymers manufactured with short lead times in small quantities using the Quick Response Manufacturing (QRM) model. Kydex thermoplastics currently range from polyvinyl chloride (PVC) to polycarbonate (PC) materials and high-impact performance plastics (HIPPS).

The QRM model at three manufacturing campuses extends beyond thermoplastic sheet. The Kydex portfolio also includes injection molding resins, proprietary Infused Imaging Technology, integral special effects, unique textures, and custom products and design. The Sekisui Kydex appLab and designLab innovation centers are collaborative spaces for clients and customers to bring the supply chain together for rapid prototyping and design development. More than 400 dedicated professionals in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania and Holland, Michigan work with a global network of sales and distribution partners.
