Seco Announces New Online Technical Forum Real-Time Interactive Application Support for Machinists

Seco Tools Inc. has launched a new online technical forum, lead by the Seco Application Support team.

Seco Tools Inc. has launched a new online technical forum, lead by the Seco Application Support team, as a real-time solution to assist companies that are experiencing machining issues.

"We've long had a technical team in place to field questions on our cutting tools, either through email or faxes typically sent by distributors or field sales personnel," says Julian Adams, Seco manager of technical services. "But, this online Forum adds new synergy to the process. It is more interactive and participatory, encouraging additional use by customers and other parties."

To submit a question about Seco's tools or machining processes, users simply visit www.secomachiningforum.com. The Forum is categorized by Machining Applications, Component Materials and FAQ's. Questions are then further classified by categories such as milling, turning, holemaking, threading, and rotary toolholding, among others.

Although the Forum is designed for the Seco Application Support team to handle the queries, any user can respond to the questions, share experiences and/or machining concerns. The Forum also allows users to enter search terms to look for previously posted information applicable to their situation.

Seco anticipates that this will become an excellent information resource for people involved in any kind of metal cutting operation. Additionally, questions can still be called in to 1-800-832-8326, emailed to sas.us@secotools.com or faxed to 248-528-5609.

The Seco Application Support team and new Forum are all part of Seco's strong focus on the customer. Says Seco president Kurt Nordlund, "Customers need suppliers who can quickly and easily understand their needs; where they have struggles. This forum provides our customers close contact and involvement from the Seco team no matter what day or time they need it." secotools.com
