Satair Group, Senior Aerospace SSP form ducting, flexible joints distribution deal

The Satair Group will distribute Senior Aerospace SSP’s commercial aerospace ducting and flexible joints products, thanks to a long-term, exclusive, worldwide agreement.

The deal marks the first entry of Satair Group into a strategic cooperation with Senior plc, to which SSP belongs.

Satair Group, a stand-alone company and 100% Airbus subsidiary, provides original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts distribution and offers a multi-fleet service portfolio from its 10 worldwide locations.

Aviall Services to distribute ExxonMobil aviation lubricants

Boeing Co. Aviall Services Inc. will serve as a strategic distributor of ExxonMobil Aviation turbine oils, greases, hydraulic fluids, and other lubricants.

Aviall will distribute ExxonMobil Aviation lubricants in North America, Latin America, Australia, and New Zealand, and will be one of several distributors of ExxonMobil Aviation’s lubricants within Europe.

Eaton expands duct, tube repair solutions

Power management company Eaton is growing its duct and tube repair business to include full-service repairs that offer airlines and MROs an alternative to purchasing new ducting and tubing when parts are damaged.

Customers can send the damaged duct or tube, and in 15 days or less, the service will evaluate, repair, and test ducts and tubes from any manufacturer. If the repair is too complex to complete in 15 days, Eaton’s exchange program will provide a spare or already repaired part to avoid additional customer downtime.www.eaton.com/aerospace

CFM International obtains third-party LEAP aftermarket support agreements

Aero engine manufacturer CFM International will provide maintenance and overhaul support to Lufthansa Technik and AFI KLM E&M for the company’s advanced LEAP engine product line.

CFM has long-standing relationships with both companies on the CFM56 family, and has granted licenses for them to develop maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) service offerings to provide on-wing and on-site support, as well as engine overhaul for LEAP engines.

CFM has three of its own shops with LEAP capability to support the engine’s entry into commercial service: Lafayette, Indiana, which can support both the LEAP-1A and LEAP-1B; Brussels, Belgium, which has capability for the LEAP-1A; and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France, which will support the LEAP-1B. The company also established worldwide on-site support (OSS) capabilities to provide customers with extended on-wing support. The new third-party shops will provide additional LEAP- 1A and -1B capacity as they come online.

PPG launches US webstore

Aerospace sealant and adhesive manufacturer PPG has launched a webstore for customers in the continental U.S. to purchase more than 130 Semco products. Orders will be shipped for free within two business days from one of PPG’s six U.S. application support centers.

“The new webstore is designed to meet the growing need for airlines and small maintenance, repair, and overhaul shops to purchase products quickly to keep aircraft operational and minimize downtime,” says Jim Enochs, PPG segment manager, aerospace packaging, the Americas. “Customers still will be able to place orders through their closest application support center.
