Suwanee, Georgia – RÖHM Products of America, a provider of clamping and gripping technologies, has opened a new 32,000ft2 manufacturing and North American headquarters facility in Suwanee, Georgia. Three times larger than the company’s previous location, the facility allows RÖHM to manufacture in the United States for the first time as well as expand the service and support it provides customers.
A division of the Germany-based RÖHM Group, RÖHM Products of America has been serving the North American metalworking industry since 1978. And, with this new facility, it now has the capacity to manufacture for the American market. The transition also enables the company to be more competitive as it can better control the product manufacturing process as well as offer improved price points.
Unlike RÖHM’s former location in Lawrenceville, Georgia, the new facility has room to provide expanded in-house service on larger products, such as 4m-diameter chucks, with the aid of a 150ft, 12.5-ton crane rail system.
Another major component of the facility is a 25,000ft2, air-conditioned service center and warehouse that protects the company’s ground steel products from rust and corrosion. A demising wall runs across the warehouse, containing product inventory.
Other facility features include a state-of-the-art showroom, demonstration area, office space, conference room, and employee workout room. A training classroom seats up to 30 people; RÖHM previously offered training only at customers’ facilities. The facility also includes room for applications engineering support staff to be located onsite.
