RLS d.o.o. Moves to New Facility

The 2,100-square-meter building triples the size of the company's previous building.

Renishaw associate company RLS d.o.o. has tripled the size of its facilities in Slovenia with a move to a new facility, custom built to expand its design and manufacturing operations. The new 2,100m2 building in Komenda, Slovenia, includes a 180m2 clean room conforming to ISO 8 and equipped with electro conductive flooring, enabling a significant expansion to the design and manufacturing capability of RLS.

The grand opening of the new facility was attended by senior members of the Renishaw Board, the Mayor of the city of Komenda, partners from the Jozef Stefan Institute in Ljubljana and the University of Ljubljana, and long-term suppliers and customers.

“We are drafting further company growth based on our own products, good manufacturing capabilities and solid cooperation with Renishaw,” says Janez Novak, director, RLS. “In the coming period, our company is going to invest a lot of effort in our excellence in engineering and our quality system, particularly because some of our products are designed for demanding, safety-critical applications.”

Sir David McMurtry, Renishaw’s Chairman and Chief Executive, congratulated Novak and the RLS staff on what has been achieved with the new facility.

“It has been a joy and a pleasure for me to visit RLS again and meet with the staff – they are absolutely amazing,” he says. “I am delighted how the company is growing, and driven by Janez, we are expecting a great future.”
