Kalamazoo, Michigan – PRAB Inc., a global manufacturer of engineered scrap metal conveyor systems, has redesigned the horizontal motion conveyor known as the Quick Return (QR). The QR Conveyor offers durable, reliable operation for efficient removal of scrap away from a press or other cutting and stamping operations.
The QR Conveyor uses horizontal motion that gently propels material forward without vibration or springs. The flexibility of the drive location allows for a very adaptive design to fit in existing pits. The drive is engineered using standard, readily available components, keeping maintenance costs and operating requirements low.
The QR is engineered to effectively move any shape, material, thickness, and load quickly and reliably. It is suitable for use with laser, plasma, single press dedicated units, or as a transfer system for plant wide applications over long horizontal distances.
“We have redesigned the QR to enhance the longevity of the drive which is the workhorse of the unit. Our customers are no longer evaluating conveyor purchases on price and features alone but rather on the uptime and overall utilization of their equipment. The QR, as with our many other conveyor designs, is engineered to offer the best overall value to industry,” states Mike Hill, vice president of Sales and Marketing for PRAB.
