Featuring a ceramic-based coating, Sumitomo's PcBN premium grade BNC300 machines hardened steels with interrupted cuts. The BNC300's tough PcBN substrate, combined with a TiAIN ceramic gold coating, result in extended tool life in interrupted turning applications. The cutting edge of the BNC300 is further strengthened through the incorporation of Sumitomo's new brazing technology. All corners are brazed individually. Sumitomo's line of BNC grades also includes the BNC80 for excellent surface finishes, the BNC150 for high-speed continuous cutting and the BNC200 for general and mild interrupted cutting.
Also on display during IMTS will be AC410K grade for high speed cast iron turning and grades AC510U and AC520U.
