July 2022 winner:
Chris Hall, Engineering Lab Manager The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Birmingham, Alabama
How long have you been in the aerospace business?Approximately 15 years.
How did you become interested in aircraft? When I was a child, my father spoke about the helicopters he flew on in Vietnam, especially the Bell AH-1 Cobra. This started a passion for all aircraft.
What is your favorite aircraft and why? The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II (Warthog) would be at the top of my list. This aircraft’s survivability and longevity are amazing.
Runners-up:
Steven Morales, Associate Software Engineer, Collins Aerospace, Binghamton, New York
Domenick Gambino, Vice President, Engineering, U.S. Dynamics Corp., Amityville, New York
