NOV/DEC 2017 winner

Michael Grabbe, Technical Advisor, Eagle Creek Aviation Services, Indianapolis, Indiana

How long have you been in the aerospace business?
Approximately 48 years.

How did you become interested in aircraft?
My aircraft interest began when I was 5 years old, when I went with my dad early one evening to a local airport to see one of his friends depart in a Piper Twin. I still have a memory of standing at the right wing trailing edge and peering into the cockpit with all the instruments lit up.

What is your favorite aircraft (and why)?
I like the Rockwell Aero Commanders. If I have to select just one specific model, I’d choose the 695B Twin Commander because of the range, performance, and longevity.
