MAY 2018 winner

Dan DeVillers,
Production Manager,
Parker Hannifin Corp.,
Kalamazoo, Michigan

How long have you been in the aerospace business?
More than 40 years. I worked as a flight instructor in my early 20s, and then was hired into the aftermarket side of an aerospace manufacturer 35 years ago.

How did you become interested in aircraft?
I have been involved in aviation my entire life. My dad was stationed at Edwards Air Force Base in the late 1950s (X-15 days!), so that was my first exposure to aviation. I have been working with model aircraft forever and am a pilot.

What is your favorite aircraft?
I always like to say my favorite aircraft is the one I am flying, but the X-15 is probably my favorite rocket-powered, hypersonic space plane ever.
