How long have you been in the aerospace business?

39 years

How did you become interested in aircraft?

It’s a family thing. Dad spent his life with flying machines and in the industry. Guess I fell for them too, from engineering to manufacturing to flying them. Never found a better way to convert money into noise.

What is your favorite aircraft (and why)?

The Beech 17 for the sheer elegance of the Golden Age planes; Republic P-47 for the brute, purposeful war birds; and the Northrop F-5/T-38 for just plain sexiest.
