Jan/Feb 2018 winner
Keith Adams, Buyer, Esterline Power Systems, Buena Park, California
How long have you been in the aerospace business?About 14 years.
How did you become interested in aircraft?I’ve always been fascinated by aircraft. As a kid, I would spend my money on the small models sold by the ice cream man, rather than on ice cream.
What is your favorite aircraft (and why)? It’s a tie between the SR-71 Blackbird and A-10 Warthog. Both are examples of incredible ingenuity – planes that on paper look impossible or just shouldn’t fly like they do. And both are beautiful planes.
