The Variaxis i-800T multitasking machine boosts productivity with 5-axis milling and turning capabilities and integrated liquid nitrogen cryogenics technology. The machine delivers high processing efficiency for complex aerospace components and prevents detrimental white layers – typically generated when machining those parts from tough materials such as titanium, nickel, Invar, and other exotics.
The machine features an 80-tool magazine for continuous uninterrupted productivity and a 5,000rpm, 10,000rpm, or 15,000rpm, CAT-50 spindle. The trunnion-style tilting table and multi-tasking capability allows users to reduce the inaccuracies from moving parts across multiple workstations, eliminating work-in-process inventory and increasing overall throughput.
