Microlution's CNC micro-milling machine is available with a 36-pocket automatic tool changer and interpreting standard Gcode. The CNC micro-milling machine delivers 2µm positioning accuracy, 50µm resolution, and 200µm repeatability, all within a 4ft2 footprint. The micro-milling machine has been utilized in a variety of industries to machine small precision parts with complex 3D free-form geometry in a wide range of materials including plastics, metals, glass and ceramics. The Microlution 363-S uses a quickchange highly repeatable mounting system for both the workpiece pallet and the spindle. The mounting system allows the workpiece and/or the spindle to be removed and replaced with micron-level repeatability. This capability allows, for example, a machining operation to be interrupted, the workpiece to be removed, inspected and replaced without the need to re-register the part. In a situation where the machine is being used for multiple applications, each application can have its own workpiece pallet. This enables multiple users to easily transition from one setup to the next without losing their part registration. Microlution's micro-milling machines are built off of precision ground granite support structures and incorporate AC linear motors and Heidenhain linear optical encoders on the X, Y and Z stages.
