Mazak has announced its approval of the transfer of ownership of Northwest Machine Technologies. Employees Joel Lundin and Tony Bailey partnered to purchase the company after previous owner Mike Nagel decided to sell the business to focus on endeavors outside the machine tool industry.

Northwest Machine Technologies serves as the official distributor of Mazak machine tools for Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Western Wisconsin. The company will continue to operate out of the state-of-the-art, 11,000ft2 facility it acquired in 2005. The building houses training facilities as well as provides space to demonstrate various Mazak innovative machine tools with application development.

"Joel and I have always been dedicated to maintaining the highest level of service for our customers, and we are very excited by the opportunity to guide the company's future success," says Tony Bailey, co-owner of Northwest Machine Technologies. "Because of our history with the company and established relationships with our customers, the transition will be completely seamless to the businesses we serve."

Northwest Machine Technologies offers total solutions encompassing machine tools, cutting tools, workholding and automation. Three full-time applications engineers work with customers throughout the purchasing, installation and implementation processes. Several in-house training events are held every month to help ensure that customers are getting the most out of their investments. nwmtec.com.; mazakusa.com.
