Mazak adds two new distributors

Mazak adds distributor in Western Canada, goes direct in British Columbia; Company officials also announce new distributor in Pacific Northwest.

Florence, Kentucky – Mazak continues to expand its capabilities in customer service, support, and sales initiatives to ensure its customers always have the best possible competitive advantage. With the recent addition of CNC Machine Services Inc. to Mazak’s distribution network, manufacturers in Washington and Oregon now have easy access to advanced metalworking technology, strong service, and experienced applications engineering.

Washington-based CNC Machine Services officially became a Mazak distributor on Aug. 3, 2015. Family owned and operated for almost three decades, the full-service company will apply a total solutions approach in its support of Mazak customers throughout Washington and Oregon.

A key element of the new partnership involves CNC Machine Services and Mazak combining their applications and support resources to establish one of the best service teams in the machine tool industry. This will include Mazak personnel working onsite at the CNC Machine Services facility and a combined 14 service engineers for the Pacific Northwest.

Located in Snohomish, the facility has the capacity to develop and prove out turnkey manufacturing systems, provide complete application and project support as well as offer factory-certified machine repair and rebuild services. The location also has the wherewithal to provide local manufacturers and CNC Machine Services technicians with machine operation and maintenance training courses. The integration of capabilities with CNC Machine Services in the Northwest is yet another dynamic for Mazak in the area.

“We are thrilled to join forces with CNC Machine Services. Not only do they have years of proven success servicing and selling machine tools, they also share the same vision and values as Mazak when it comes to putting customers first,” said Brian Papke, president of Mazak Corp. “Plus, the synergy between our two companies will create strategic leverage for increasing market share in the Pacific Northwest.”

Complementing the Mazak Western Technology Center in Southern California, the partnership with CNC Machine Services and Mazak directly employed service and applications personnel in the area gives Mazak customers within the Pacific Northwest easier access to the same high levels of service and support.

“We are simply ecstatic to partner with Mazak,” said Mark Harris, president of CNC Machine Services. “During our first few weeks of preparation toward working together, they have provided us more support than we’ve ever experienced. The depth and breadth of their technology and product line amazes us, and we know our customers will be equally impressed. We are now the region’s leading service provider teamed up with the industry’s number one machine tool company.”

CNC Machine Services will kick off the new partnership at its upcoming open house event, taking place Aug. 12-14, 2015. The company plans to showcase several of Mazak’s most advanced machine tools, conduct presentations, and introduce the brand to the region’s manufacturers.

In other key strategic business moves, Mazak has also added a new Canadian distributor effective Aug. 1, 2015. Mazak officials advise that all sales transaction responsibilities in British Columbia will be assumed on a direct basis. These decisions will allow Mazak to work more closely with customers in all provinces of Western Canada and provide extensive service and support geared specifically toward the manufacturing industries of those regions.

The new Mazak distributor is Moretti Machine Tools Inc. based in Edmonton whose areas of responsibility will include the Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta territories. Company President Alex Moretti has 25 years of distinguished service to the manufacturing industry in Western Canada, including 17 years in machine and tooling sales. A considerable amount of that time was a very successful career selling Mazak equipment with an emphasis on customer relationships and service.

The Moretti Machine Tool facility will serve as a technical centre and complement Mazak’s strong commitment to its Canadian Technology Centre at the Canadian headquarters in Cambridge, Ontario. Moretti’s Technical Centre will provide training, conduct machine demonstrations, and host special technology and education events. A Mazak service and applications group located in Alberta will provide service and support for Moretti Machine Tool customers in Western Canada.

Ray Buxton, general manager of Mazak Canada, said that he and his team are excited to have Moretti Machine Tool on board and to begin working directly with those Mazak customers in British Columbia. He also noted that, going forward; those British Columbia customers should now contact Mazak’s facility in Cambridge for all their machine, service, and support needs.
